From an early age, many of us are culturally conditioned to believe that happiness is primarily achieved through external avenues. This way of thinking subconsciously creates a pattern of future longing - if only we had that perfect car, house, relationship, or suddenly came into a windfall of money, we could finally obtain total and complete contentment. However, this belief pattern actually disempowers our ability to fully appreciate the joys of the present and the daily abundance that surrounds us.
